This won’t make sense unless you’ve seen the latest Star Trek movie. If you have, it’s pretty funny.

Saved $50 on my Pre
September 9, 2009 in Stories by ed | No comments
Sprint generally gets a bad rap for its customer service. I’ve been a customer of varying degrees over the last 10 years or so and I have had my share of unpleasant support calls with Sprint. Lately, though, I’ve found that they are getting better and tonight’s post is more evidence of that.
Palm dropped the price of it’s new phone, the Palm Pre, by $50 today. I am a recent owner of this phone and read a post on the PreCentral blog explaining that Sprint was offering the price to people who bought the phone in the last 30 days. So I got on the horn and to my mild surprise the support person had no trouble understanding what I was asking and credited my account include three dollars and change for tax! Now I’m rocking a Pre for $150, not bad, not bad at all.

Hi everyone! After about three years of forgetting this website existed, I’m back. I re-found this website by doing this: While typing in the address of my website in the address bar, I suddenly got the brain-spark that I should try to figure out what my friend Charlotte was doing wrong in her search for my website. She had gotten on once and couldn’t remember how to do it again. I typed in all mistakes she might have made while trying to reach the site. The last one I tried was meghan.meagherfamily.com. It came up with an error, and had done a google search of meghan meagherfamily for me. It had come up with: The Meaghers
Now we’re going to have Meghan Meagher singing “Candle on the Water” … Just a reminder that you can see our photos here http://photos.meagherfamily.org. …
Wait, Meghan Meagher was MY name. And I sang “Candle on the Water” once! Is there a duplicate me, or did my parents really put that of all things on their website? It was not my best work, if I remember correctly! I clicked on the link, and just like that I remembered. I remembered that one day, on Lake Winnepessauke when I was bored to tears, I brought out my essay for school, which my dad had said we should publish on the internet, and typed it up on this blog site. It’s so weird what these websites bring back!

A Bit of Wisdom From a Dead Guy

Post-election thought for the day: “We must love them both. Those whose opinions we share and those whose opinions we reject, for both have labored in the search for truth and both have helped us in the finding of it.”
Palin vs. Biden
October 2, 2008 in Stories by jen | No comments
Well, it looks like a draw. I must say, I’m a bit disappointed. I was so hoping for a Palin paralysis. She prepped well. And so folksy…gosh, she stands on the soccer sidelines just like I do. Maybe I’ll vote for her. Wait, she wants to abolish Roe v. Wade. She wants to drill like there’s no tomorrow. She really seems to believe we can win a war. That’s right, I remember. I have almost nothing in common with this woman…other than reproductive organs. She is a conservative, evangelical Christian hawk…wearing a snazzy pair of glasses that I like. I might get me a pair of those. Joe did well. I was worried he’d blunder. He didn’t. I have to say, his smile is off-putting though. All those white teeth just don’t look natural. Well, short on substance, but that’s my 2 cents for tonight. ‘Night all.
